Phil Moore to make surprise comeback

Post by mexican »

A reliable source in Stroud just told me that the reason Phil is not competing in BRSCC F3 this season is his car is being converted to Mono F3 spec. He has swaped his gearbox for a H gate which Nemesis are installing now and he will be out at either DOnington or Silverstone. Apparently he didn't want to convert the engine because he thinks the future is in Mono F3 and points out that all the glory is in line honers not class wins. It must be said that his F304 on A53's will be a formidable package even de-tuned with the smaller restrictor. It remains to be seen if he runs legal mono fuel or turns up with102 F3 juice, something some of us may want to investigate.

I certainly will. Can never have too much competition, although he won't be in my class at the moment (until Formula 2000 is merged with Mono 2000). But that doesn't mean we won't be together on the track!
Are they fitting a 301 gearbox and rear suspension to convert to H-gate?

Shame I can't be at Donington if the car debuts there.

Whilst it will be great to see Phil back, please spare a thought for the poor folk trying to put a car together and who have had some good F300 back end spares disappear from under their noses for this project. I know this has happened to at least one 2 litre aspirant.

ps 4th best. Shihad rock.
