I did 2 days at the end of 2012 at Brands that were open pitlane all day.It was SUCH a better format than the usual 4 x 25 mins (with the young hot shoes falling off at Druids every 1st lap out! causing red flags)... reminded me of open pitlane at Silverstone 20+ years ago. It is great to drive a couple of laps, decide to come in and have something changed and not feel you are loosing really restricted precious seconds on the track
I have chased Alan Tapson for more of these.. well he hasn't quite done it that way but is trying a day with only Single Seaters and Closed wheel cars with one hour on and one hour off for each.
Thursday 14th March 2013
£165
£35 garage

I have booked 2 slots and recommend the format for anyone wanting to actually test things other than sitting waiting for the red flag session to end!
Steven.
PS and truck load of RF82 spares etc if needed!

Re: Open Pitlane testing (well almost) at Brands Hatch
and another one...
Hi Steven
We’ve increased circuit time at Brands Hatch on Thursday 21 February for Single Seaters.
The price is £145 and they’ll get one hour on, one hour off, should be 3.5 hrs track time
Just for your information, should this be of interest to you.
Many thanks
Alan
