Transponder?

Post by mwalters »

Hi all,

As my car gets ever nearer completion, im hoping to have a race or two this season, but my question is this:

Is it a requirement to have a transponder fitted to the car for racing in mono 1600? If so, are there provisions to hire them day by day as im told they are very expensive!!?

Thanks
Matt.

Yes, you will need a transponder. I believe it is possible to hire, but only by prior arrangment.

Go to http://www.tsl-timing.com/?loc=transponders to get info, order forms and contact details.

They sometimes appear for sale second hand, but rarely much cheaper than a new one, so they don't depreciate, hence worth getting one that you can sell for no loss later.

Am pretty sure it does! Did some fairly extensive testing when the forum was updated and it was all working fine.
