Avon A53 only available for front tyres?

can someone please clarify this? i was told that they are only supllying A53 compounds for the fronts only while the rears are A11
was interesting to see how soft the A53 were and so much flex the side walls had compared to my Michelins. Hoping to get a set and try them out.

Yup, the rears are now A11 compound, as the A53 250/570R13 has been discontinued. I wouldn't be surprised if the front A53 180/550R13 are discontinued at the end of the year or once stock is gone.
However, with A53 fronts and A11 rears the handling was fine. As usual the car was predictable, catchable (except with two wheels on the mud) and everything one wants from a racing car.

Maybe I should just buy a set of A11?

If they do them in the right size and at the right price, then why not. But you won't notice the difference between a set of A11s, a set of A53s and a set of A53/A11s.
To be honest you might as well use Club F3 compound (A24), which will get you within a second of the pace of A53s but last twice as long. The A53s will be wasted on you at the moment (and I don't say that to cause offence, but to save you money).
