I'm not sure whether Mono is again intending to do a fair few meetings with the CSCC but if so there is a DRAFT CSCCC calendar on their website.

I thought it was a pretty good calendar too. Thank you to the organising committee for their hard work.

On a personal note, I am disapointed that you are only on the CSCC bill twice in 2010. Oh well.

Just wonder why there is such a big gap in the summer,Where we not offered any meetings in this period?
Any comment.

The summer break is great from my point of view. I'm auditioning for a part in a theatre version of Wuthering Heights tonight that is showing during that time away from racing. Had the calender not come out, or had there not been a break, then I'd would have had to sit it out :(

Does any one know if there is a chance of racing Spa this year?

Is there any interest in Spa this year?

Jeremy,

I think it's pretty unlikely that the club will arrange a trip, as it tended to lose money. Besides, they've already arranged the Silverstone GP event, which is fairly "blue riband"!

However, there are a lot of clubs that go to Spa - the CSCC for example - so may be something could be arranged with them directly, not as part of the MRC officially?

Would anyone fancy taking on that role? I'd imagine finding out interest would be the first step, prior to approaching various clubs and begging for a grid, or even some space on a grid.

Personally, I'd love to race at Spa, but the dates and the cost would have to be right.

I understand a few are keen to race at Spa - I recall Jock S bending my ear! If there's enough interest I believe that soundings could be made via the club, albeit with the club not taking a significant risk. There's a board meeting in early Jan so if nobody else raises it I will do so.

Be aware, however, that the Euro has soared in value since we last raced there - we've raced at 1.45, last time it was 1.25, now it's 1.10, so it will be unlikely to be cheap.

Well said Tony.
The club should do the organising.
If we could get 40 cars on the grid the price would be OK.
Why don,t the interested parties pay £50 or £100 deposit into the club now, refundable if it,s a no go.
Hard cash is the only way to gauge intent.
(I,m in where do i send the cash)

I would be prepared and happy to pay a deposit to help make it happen, even if I'd lose it in the event of the date being prior booked with theatrical engagements.

Perhaps interest could be gauged via Startline (paper and electronic versions), or indeed at the AGM (which I cannot attend due to a stupid pantomime I don't really want to be in).

Back to my original questio why the big gap from june to end of August? .

Anyone from the management care to comment.

i would love to got to Spa again but i think it will be difficult to get enough to commit.

Probably be cheaper to buy car to do the cscc sport car race tthat they run at Spa.
