For various reasons I am now going to sit in a darkened room and sob gently.
Did our newcomers enjoy themselves?

SPOILER ALERT - DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!!
Massive congratulations to both David Cox and Barry Smith, not only for their victories, but also on beating Dallaras and Jedis on the day.
I look forward to the Startline race reports

You know how to hurt. I was mentally numb for race 1 and only watched race 2 because I'd knocked the right rear off at the start of race1. And to make me feel even worse I'd knocked it off on Eddie Guest's car and then he and his team helped us load up the poorly junior, which I think is sporting beyond all reason!
Has anybody out there any pictures of either race? Please could you email to the editor if you have?

Oh dear Tony, sounds like a pretty awful meeting for you. Is it easily fixable?
That is very sporting of Eddie. Due to his act of kindness you are probably obliged to run his car for him at every meeting for the rest of his Mono membership!!!
There are a few names that seem to be out of position, particularly Amnon and Jeremy in race two. Simon Davey seemed to have a good run, and it would have been very close with you, he and David, especially in race 1. I wonder what happened to Geoff Fern, who doesn't seem to be on good terms with Lady Luck these days. Tim Cameron and Len Turner seemed to be quite evenly matched too.
After such a close weekend over the various classes I think the race report will be a good one.
