This appeared via Facebook today - a video from 1990, filmed at Pembrey, possibly of an invitational race with HSCC.

Midland Automobile Club meeting. I would think Duds or Matty uploaded it. They were recently having some DVDs done from the video. I was C of C and a young, still current Mrs Harrison is presenting the awards.

MAC ran three meetings at Pembrey in 89,90 & 91 with a round of Monoposto at each. There was also a libre race or single seater Allcomers on the card which usually attracted a good number of F5000 & F1 cars together of course with a selection of Mono cars.

The race in the film if I recall correctly was neither of the above but a round of the WRDA (Welsh Racing Drivers Association) Single Seater Championship or The Welsh Superprix which was a one off.

The reason I thought it may have been HSCC, is that 6m42 in there is a quick shot of someone studying an HSCC results sheet.

It was added to Monoposto's Facebook page by Robert Allender. The Welsh Racing Drivers Association have been uploading a number of videos to their Youtube channel, including an over 2L race here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_znjU4a3MeE

That is the title of a particular race. HSCC had a grid at the MAC promoted meeting. FF2000 I think. The two videos are both from the same one meeting. Some of the F1 footage is from the test day when the transporters are in the pit area.

What a lovely blast from the past watching the Pembrey videos! After leaving mono in the mid 80's, my dad switched to HSCC and was in the over 2 litre race in his Kitchener F5000, up against the likes of Jon Reakes in the TS5, Nick Butress in the widow maker, Narcisi in the mighty Trojan and Rick Hall in the TS8. Don Wood's F1 Artows, driven by Peacock walked it as expected.

I think I also spotted long time mono man John Holmes in his 772p, and old man McClurg in the newer march F2?
