Blue Book Rule change

On page 158. section 1.6.3
Could someone tell me if I need a new brace on the roll bar? My car is a bog standard Formula Ireland Chassis but the roll bar doesn't have a brace as described. The rule is in red so must be new.
I am interested in your thoughts gentlemen.

assuming that your Formula Ireland is the same as mine, then when you remove the cover from the roll hoop ( the bit that used to house the air cleaner in its original spec) , looking at the roll hoop from the side looks like a letter A ? this is ok in this case. sorry if i dont make myself very clear.

I guess so but it was in red so I wondered if it was new.
None of this matters too much atthe moment because my car is playing up with ECU trouble-some sensor I suspect..... Bl**dy electronics.
