Anyone know if the Donington timing beacon is on the pit-side of the main straight or the in-side? Thanks.

PM me your email address and I will send you a pdf file which has the location of every circuit beacon in the UK and Eire and where to switch them on if they are not on when you go testing.
Donington is on the pit lane wall at the exit and it is on permanently.
Nick.

Nick,
Thanks for that but I already have it. Most circuits seem to have the beacon on the right-hand side of the pit straight which is usually the same side as the pits. Donington of course has the pits on the outside. There is however at least one data logging site out there which shows a photo of the beacon location which, based on the position of the clock which hangs out over the pit straight, suggests it is on the inside. Hence my confusion.
Last time out at Donington the data logging quit half way through and, suspecting I might have been using an unknown beacon that was there on Saturday, but not on Sunday, I turned the receiver on the car round 180 degresss. Still didn't work. Subsequent investigation revealed that the sensor had moved from channel 0 to channel 5. So it wouldn't have mattered where the beacon was. I attributed this to the bump I had but it might have been vibration. We will find out which side it should be Saturday qaulifying!
