Just to prove what a sad and empty life I must lead, I recently found this website. It contains more photographs and details of racing cars than I have ever seen before. Many happy hours of viewing promised to those of us that find these things interesting.
No doubt this site is well known to many and I have only just stumbled across it. If so, my apologies.

Ooooh, me likey.
I found this the other week too, which is nice for people that like pictures of cars but can't read. Keep scrolling down, even at the bottom of a page, as more magically appear. Literally thousands of photos.

Oh, and yes, I know the previous is a P51D. Had the opportunity to fly in one in NZ for £600 and passed it up. It's my thrid biggest regret in life.

Oh dear, I rather like that book shop, my wife (for she is a good woman) gets their book lists sent to her. So this Christmas my stocking included a book on race car aerodynamics (lots of physics-yummy)and a very nice book on Elio de Angelis, in fact I think the Elio book was a freeby as Mrs Griffin is such a good customer.
Of course the
real anoraks go to the model store next door. Funnily enough my wife is on their mailing list as well having got me a rather spendid model of my Sierra Cosworth with all the correct decals.
I have spent many happy hours in that little patch of London, the National and Portrait galleries, ENO and Covent Garden, nice places to eat and a little wander through those two shops.
I'll just arrange the pens in my shirt pocket in alphabetical order...
