So, it is becoming clearer with whom we will be sharing the paddocks and grids with.
Monoposto will be fielding two grids I presume as usual.
GT Trophy is our partner for two events, and GT Cup for another two. GT Trophy is the sister event to GT Cup, with whom we shared a lot of time with last year, but these are longer races - races of up to to 2 hours in length with a long quali and practise sessions.
GT Trophy
- 2 July (Sat) – MSVR – Oulton Park International – Single Header
- 20/21 August (Sat/Sun) – MSVR – Brands Hatch GP – Double Header
GT Cup
- 10th & 11th September – Anglesey International
- 15th & 16th October – Snetterton 300
Also, announced yesterday, is F3 Cup, which appears to be a rebranding of BRSCC F3 under MSVR's more welcoming wing. MSVR have been running Formula Palmer Audi, but after 13 years, the cars were getting increasingly old, and 2010 was the last season they were being run. This series will be sharing grids with Mono at most events. A panel of judges will be awarding someone a test drive in an F2 car. Racing Exposure broke the news yesterday with an MSVR press release. http://www.racingexposure.com/blog/2010 ... -for-2011/
- 19/20 March - Snetterton 300
- 21/22 May - TBC
- 2 July – Oulton Park International
- 16/17 July – Brands Hatch Indy
- 20/21 August – Brands Hatch GP
- 10/11 September - Anglesey International
- 29 October - Donington Park
So what else? Production BMW, Toyo Tires Saloons haven't announced their 2011 calendars yet. A number of series have defected from the BARC Great and British calendar to the MSVR group, but I am sure it will all be worked out shortly.
