Snetterton may be a bit different next time we visit...
Its being extended between Riches and Sear (first and second corners) with an extension that doubles back towards Tyrrell's Restaurant. Additionally Corum and Russell's will be redesigned slightly.
This brings the circuit up to FIA Grade 2 spec and could attract a wider selection of international series including DTM.
The short circuit will remain as an option, and additionally there will be a small infield circuit available.

Great bit of reporting there Andrew! and happy news!!
I have always liked Snetterton. It has almost a holiday feel which may be a result of the long drive on single carriage roads reminding me of long haul air travel. I've also enjoyed some success so it ticks boxes with me as one of my favourite tracks. I don't even mind the locals all looking like each other or the dead chickens nailed to the pub doors. The only criticism in the past really is that it is a bit of a one trick pony and once you learn how to drive fast with low down force there isn't much else to think about.
Looking at the new layout Snetterton is going to become a fantastic track. Extending Corums radius from 12 to 13 is going to create a lot more g force for the car and driver to manage. Anyone with a good aero package will be able to hold the speed flat from the exit of 10 to the braking point into 13. That will require additional room in the crutch area of your race suit. Late braking into 13 will be very rewarding in lap time. Turn 3 looks like another challenge for a good lap time.
I will very much look forward to driving my Ultimate mono car on the new circuit.
