Hi, I have done a little bit of research on this already. A cheap 240v coffee cup heater is rated at 500 watts. I bought one to see how fast it heats water. The answer is it takes two minutes to put 50 Degrees celcius into one litre of water. A domestic water heating element is rated at 3000 watts. ...
