Brands G-Forces

Post by tristancliffe »

Thought I'd make a quick post about g-forces, based on data from my datalogger (what else?!)

Maximum Lateral G : 2.33g through Surtees at 109mph
Maximum Longitudinal G : 1.95g braking for Druids (aided by the gradient I'm sure)
Maximum Vertical G : 2.37g at the bottom of Paddock Hill Bend (note that 1g = normal gravity)
Maximum Combined G from all axis : 3.11g

All this despite being a big girls blouse through Paddock Hill (as shown by our speed trap figures and driver feedback), and Surtees/Clearways being very slippery. Having three times the force of gravity trying to pull your head off is a wonderful feeling!!
