Do they cover trailers with race cars?
I have been looking through various company terms and conds, but cannot find anything. Just wondering is anyone has cover and with whom.
Breakdown Recovery Question
Re: Breakdown Recovery Question
You will need to question your recovery company.
They have all tightened up substantially in the past years.
When you complete your application for rescue cover you generally have to advise that it is also to cover a trailer. Some companies will get your trailer home providing that it's your car that has broken down. But if the trailer is at fault they will not move it.
I am led to believe that the best people to be with are the caravan club. They have an understanding with one of the main vehicle rescue companies so the trailer is always covered.
You possibly have an annual fee for the caravan club as well though.

You could try:
info@traffords-insurance.co.uk
They claim to insure caravans, and goods in transit, and have just given me a deal on my microlight that those involved in motor racing would look at in disbelief.
