Castle Combe

Post by lee »

Will the MSVR mono passes work this weekend or have extras been posted out with finals from Castle Combe?

Combe are strict on noise, so if anyone was marginal at Oulton, repack silencer before you get to the circuit!

Apologies for the slow reply, I've only just seen this thread

MSVR passes are OK for Combe, it's an MSVR meeting.

We have also alerted competitors to the need to ensure that their cars do comply with MSA noise regulations. Combe is particularly sensitive on this issue, so to help them manage their environmental concerns, and to avoid hassle on the day, please do make sure that your car will comply with the MSA noise test limit!

Also - I understand that competitors who wish to remain in the paddock over Saturday night can do so, but the circuit has asked that the paddock is vacated as early as possible on the Sunday, as they have an event running that day.

Please pack any silencer spares you have such as wadding. Or Merlin Motorsports will once again have a very productive day.

I assume we can set up on Friday afternoon/evening?

Does anyone know if the circuit has a PI beacon on the inside of the circuit or the outside or neither?

List I have says 30m before finish line is the switch location so I assume there is a beacon. Left or right of direction of travel I do not know.

I'd imagine it's on the left hand side of the track. As far as I can recall there isn't much of anything on the right hand side anywhere around the circuit!
