Baking Grand Prix 2012

Post by tristancliffe »

Number of entries in 2012 per team.

Chris Dittman Racing/Team Fern Racing = 8
Omicron Motorsport = 1
Me and Len = 1
Team Blockley = 1
Hyperion = 1
MSVR = 1
Wingnut Racing = 1
Yellow Peril = 1
Ans-Tech Racing = 1
Eurocontrols = 1
Team Scrut = 1
Bath Road Garage = 1
Mr Pasty = 1
Snuggsy = 1

I may be a bitter loser, but should one team (well, two, but very closely associated) - the team that has someone that organised it, and the team that sponsored the trophies, and the team that did a lot of the admin - be allowed to have nearly half of all the entries? In any normal competition, then anyone associated with the competition isn't valid for an entry. Perhaps that would be too unfair - someone has to administer it after all, and they might like baking - but could it be limited to one entry per team? Yes, the judging was 'impartial', as was the tie-break taster, but since when has logic had anything to do with it?

Maybe for next year we can have a crackdown on the regulations, as the last two years (maybe even three) have had results that could see a little coincidental?

Having said all that, well done to the winner, and to all the entries, for making nice cakes to munch on in an evening. We'll try again next year, and may the best cake win.

Mieux vaut être un mauvais perdant, et pas seulement un perdant.

Gentlemen

Please can I remind you of the forum rules, this one in particular

'Please respect the fact that no-one on this forum speaks every language under the sun and, as such, we are quite strict about all posts being made in English. Any posts made in French, German, Spanish, Portugese or ANY other language will be removed. The reasons for this are very simple: how are we to keep a check on what a user is saying if we don't speak his or her language?'

Now Google translate tells me you aren't being too nasty, so I shal refrain from moderating a moderator :wink:
