Projects....& why it is best to avoid them

Post by Dermot Healy »

1. MALLOCK ...remains....looks to be probably Mk14/15/16/18 ish....dismantled in tiny pieces....less engine but with gearbox & probably 80% of other bits.Suspect it is 20 yrs since it was used. Small dinge in front corner of otherwise quite reasonable chassis. Everything needs refurbishment. c. £1750 without gearbox or £2200 with box

2. VAN DIEMEN RF87 FF1600...cadaver.... chassis/bodywork/some engine bits/Hewland mk9 gearbox...missing some/most suspension & steering rack.......c £1200 without gearbox or £3950 with gearbox

3. FORMULA OPEL/VAUXHALL LOTUS ...more or less complete car but in tiny tiny pieces. Large proportion of the chassis components are unused (including new alloy honeycomb planks) but have been sitting for years so no longer shiny. Can be built up in Mk1 or Mk2 form...£7500

4. HAWKE Formula Ford...in tiny tiny pieces but almost all the bits new & very shiny. Could be built up in various forms either as FF1600 or FF2000. Currently has inboard front suspension
suitable for FF1600 or convert chassis to outboard & build as FF2000. £3250 less engine &
gearbox, or £7750 with rebuilt Hewland Mk9 or £9750 complete with unused FF2000 engine.
