I have a selection of elderly Van Diemen Formula Firsts.
The original transverse XR Ford engines have been replaced by 1000cc Yamaha R1 engines
& they have been run as race school cars. Some are up & running & some will be sold as rollers less engine. They are unlikley to trouble the record books if used in competition &all will benefit from love and general titivation, but the VD chassis is a properly constructed thing. If you don't fancy a bike engine & want minimal cost, then buy one of the rollers as the chassis design will allow the installation any modern transverse engine & gearbox
I think they might be rechristened Formula Rodent as they have acquired wings and an enlarged engine cover which give them a rather rat like appearance
However - they can be sold at very modest prices - much less than any other single seater you will find. As always the best deals go to those who can master the use of a telephone

Most 'Rodents' now sold....but 2 runners left @ c.£2500 each & several rollers @ c£1250 ea
