Donington Abandonment

Following the abandonment of the race meeting at Donington last Sunday I was immediately contacted by Drew Furlong, Competitions Director for the BRSCC to explain the reasons behind the cancellation and to apologise to all our members for the inconvenience caused. The problem was not of the BRSCC’s making and was associated with the track extensions for the new GP circuit.

Since that time we have been working with the BRSCC and other organisations to find an alternative round for our championship. There was a possibility that we could have substituted the non championship round at Mallory on July 5th, subject to the member’s approval, for a championship round, but it was not possible given the timescales.

We will continue to work with the BRSCC and other organisations to find a replacement round. In the event that a replacement round cannot be found we will work with the BRSCC to ensure our members are compensated accordingly.

Speaking to the organisers of the Mallory Park meeting on the 5th July they are happy to accommodate Monoposto competitors on the grid for their two race programme.
