Re: Hi,

Tony Cotton, green 2000, no8. I ran an FVJ for 10 years without knowing a thing. Still don't. I think I have the world record for the longest continual persistence in a Formula Vauxhall Junior.

Re: Trailer box conversion

£2k-£3k, perhaps less if they cut corners and forget to charge VAT. Don't forget that if you can't sell your trailer for about £700-£800 it's probably not worth building a box on it. So in reality, if you can get a good box trailer under £3k it's a cheaper proposition. But as Dermot says, the brakes...

Re: Trailer box conversion

I had my 2 wheeler converted because Dallaras go soggy on an open trailer and I can't manoeuvre a 4 wheeler in my drive. I'm delighted with the job they did and I can give you details BUT there are 2 very big caveats. 1 It's not a cheap route to have a box built. MUCH cheaper is to buy a decent seco...

Your best chance of a garage is Spa. Book your ferry now!

Re: "Pro" Teams in Mono

Professional teams are like elephants - they may be difficult to describe, but when you see one you know what it is. They're great in their place and interesting to watch, but I wouldn't want one in my back yard. To move away from the analogy, I think I'm on the same lines as Nat. A key thing about ...

Yes, it works like a charm. I still send emails to people before they sign up and interestingly we've had a couple who haven't responded.

Contacting Simon

If anybody needs to contact Simon Davey urgently, please text him as he is currently without email. If you do not have his mobile number feel free to email editor@startline.org.uk and I will let you have his number - I don't really want to put a phone number on a public forum. Alternatively put a po...

Yes, she is wonderful Tristan, no question.

You did very well to type that with one hand whilst the other was in an arm lock.

(Sorry. I will be available to be hit at the agm.)

Re: Which Class 2011?

In the early 2000's when Patrick, me and Dave Parkinson were youngsters, Muz racing ran some pretty quick FR1700s and won the 1600 championship. There was certainly nothing wrong with the competitiveness of FR1700s. The only slight downside of an FR is that you have a road car box. Nothing is ever a...

Please could you email me the table you've created? It would be very interesting to have a go, but I'm too lazy to retype your excellent work.

Re: Bit dead in here...

'Tis calm indeed ! so calm that it disturbs
And vexes meditation with its strange
And extreme silentness. Sea, hill, and wood,
This populous village ! Sea, and hill, and wood,
With all the numberless goings-on of life
Inaudible as dreams.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge. (1772-1834)

Re: Silverstone GP

Agree 100% with Arty re marshalls. Slightly dazed (mentally, no physical injury), I stepped from my car on Hangar Straight and a marshall was there to urge me to get over the wall. If I could have gone off so could somebody else, they did a great job on Friday looking after us all. Thanks, chaps.
