Re: Rain Lights

I had no end of complaints about my m-electronics rainlight, as they are quite small and mounted in the black shroud, so from certain angles cannot be seen (or so I was told). I will be looking at fitting a large square cartek one in the near future. Is there a possibility for a group deal purchase ...

Re: Seat belts - things you should know!
I've just got new belts for my "static" Dallara from Dermot/TRS. Absolutely great service, superb quality at a very attractive price. I cannot praise Dermot and James highly enough and offer a full endorsement.
I can second that.

Steve @ V2 Helmets...

Please be aware... With the upcoming regulation change next year regarding HANS, many of you may require or be considering a new helmet. While the V2 helmets offer a cost effective solution I should warn you that my experience of dealing with this company has been troublesome to say the least. Witho...

Re: Formula Vauxhall Jnr - Brake and clutch master cylinders

Thanks. Those figures were taken with the engine cold if I remember correctly. I'm planning on taking the head off for an inspection/overhaul anyway, just because i've never actually had a good view of the internals of this engine so it's still a bit of an unknown to me! Not only that but the Fern's...

Re: Formula Vauxhall Jnr - Brake and clutch master cylinders

Thanks Tristan. As it turns out, it was cheaper to replace the whole master cylinder than buy a seal kit anyway! I dont suppose you know what cylinder compression the FVJ engines should ideally produce? Mine range from 175psi on three cylinders to 200psi on the fourth! I am unsure what the E16SE vau...

Formula Vauxhall Jnr - Brake and clutch master cylinders...

Hi, Does anyone know what size bore the Formula Vauxhall Junior brake and clutch master cylinders are please, or does it matter? I cant get to my car right now to check the numbers on the side of the castings and wanted to order new ones, unless of course new seals can be bought from somewhere? Rega...

Re: Provisional 2013 race calendar....

Dont get me wrong, none of this is intended as a pop at Simon, the calendar looks good, very similar to this year and last, my only gripe is the same event one after the other! It's a long slog down there for people and it would be nice for a break inbetween them to give people a chance who would li...

Re: Provisional 2013 race calendar....

Hmmm some mixed views here, I for one will probably only be able to attend the northern circuits which puts me at a disadvantage straight away as there are hardly any. It's hard enough as it is funding the sport without adding long journeys to the same venue twice!!! Great it may be if you live in t...

Provisional 2013 race calendar....

I may cause controversy here but I personally think 2 rounds one after the other at Brands is a bit much. But more to the point, could we have more variety of circuits like this year if one of the Brands rounds were substituted for the superb Cadwell circuit or somewhere else for that matter? What a...

Re: Points system!

It's not quite as simple as that! Money or time issues to enter a full championship come into play. But it's still important to others to gain a place in the championship! My sponsor this year was very happy with my results even though I'm way down the list in terms of championship status, but nonet...

Re: Points system!

As a relative newcomer to motorsport and monoposto the way I see it is this. If a person(s) can be bothered to go the trouble of preparing a car, turning up, PAYING the entry fee, then regardless of the grid numbers, the reward of the points system should remain consistent whether 1 racer turns up i...

Re: Battery Cable......

Thanks for this info, I've gone for the same as you (110amps) is probably more than enough.

I rarely need to start the car without using the slave battery anyway so it was just getting the right size cable to the battery box as a precaution really.
