Re: Has anyone ever removed one of these from a Dallara tub?

Coolio - Problem with stud removers is they don't take a lot of torque and if you break one then you have a hardened centre to your broken stud which you can't drill out. PM - have you got any scrap tubs I could come and have a practice on? Come to think of it your XE would probably do since no one ...

Has anyone ever removed one of these from a Dallara tub?

[img]Stud sheared off in mounting bush in back of Dallara tub. According to the parts manual the bush unscrews from the tub - has anyone ever removed one? Obviously much easier to drill the broken stud out having removed the bush. The stud on the otherside was loctited in and only came out without s...

Track Limits

The following on track limits is available from MSV: http://www.cadwellpark.co.uk/pdf/2014/track_limits.pdf Second last paragraph system already installed at Brands Hatch is interesting regard the level of monitoring currently in use. I'll also quote from elsewhere on their website: "The open pit la...

Re: HANS devices (aka FHRs) to become mandatory next year

Tried very hard to make a HANS device work in the Ralt but it would have needed too many modifications to the head rest / bulkhead area so I gave up........... They are not going to work for everyone in every car - any other 6 footers out there wearing one in a Dallara? Oh and where's the rationale ...

Need to overhaul the brake calipers on an F397 - whats the best source for seals or do I just go to Brembo?

Entrants Licence - Benefits?

What are the benefits of an Entrants Licence, if any? Presumeably if the entrant was a limited company and the entrant license was taken out for the purpose of marketing the company e.g. the entrant is XYZ Limited, the cost of the licence would be tax deductible?

Re: Monoposto 2014

As one of the several small teams (me and the missus) I am concerned at the potential for additional race day hassle as has already been mentioned. There is already more than enough to dao with signing-on, scrutineering and drivers briefing. We don't have spare bodies to push cars about and carry wh...

Oil Catch Tanks

How does the average Dallara satisfy the requirement for having engine breathers exiting into an oil catch tank with an easily visible level? Most I have looked at, including my own, simply seem to breath to atmosphere through a pipe hanging over the back of the gearbox. Must confess I haven't compl...

Re: Steven Griffins Startline 'Rush'

True anoracks will note seeing Cadwell re-purposed as Crystal Palace and Brands masquerading as an unusually green Paul Ricard.............

That's marked my card!
