Re: Donington Timetable Mono 2000 !!!

Gentlemen The unusual timetable at Donington is to help drivers who wish to compete in both the Mono 2000 event and the F3 Cup event at Silverstone. The unusual schedule may cause inconvenience to some drivers, especially in the Mono 2000/Classic event which does start first on Saturday and finish l...

My exMono Reynard is for sale!

The Reynard FF83 that I used in Mono at the end of the 90s is for sale on Race Cars Direct. It's been raced by its current owner John Stewart for some time (he's based in Ireland, but has raced it very successfully there and in NW FF1600)). He bought it off Dave Hart, who I sold it to. In Mono 1600 ...

Discussion Forum after the AGM

After the AGM on 16 February the Club will again hold an informal Discussion Forum at which members can raise any subject that is relevant to the Club. In the past this has been a very constructive and useful session. In order to help manage the timing of the Forum it's very helpful if you can brief...

Re: Ztech class

I presume a standard Zetec owner could opt to continue to race in Mono1800 if they so decided. Could they accumulate points in both championships? A standard zetec can indeed be raced and score points in either class, but it will only score the points for the class in which it is entered in any spe...

Re: Ztech class

In case of any confusion - you will still be able to run Zetec engined cars in Mono 1800 to exactly the same rules/spec as they run in Mono 1800 at present ie with wings, tubular exhaust etc. The new MonoZtec class is an additional class for fully FF1800 regulation-compliant cars (except tyres which...

MonoZtec Class for 2013

The 2013 Monoposto Championship will include a Class for cars complying with Formula Ford Zetec regulations, with the exception of tyres which will be “free”. The new Championship Class will be called MonoZtec . This initiative follows discussions with the FF Zetec community and provides a strong Ch...

Re: Michael Dale

I visited Michael in hospital on Wednesday. He's in Wythenshaw Hospital in Manchester at the Burns Center He's just had skin grafts to his leg and they are "taking" well at the moment - everyone please have a "virtual" scratch for Michael, because he's not allowed to... He's remarkably cheerful and ...

Re: Points system!

A few comments on this thread - which raises some interesting points (oops) First - Whatever views people have on the current points system, it isn't going to change for this season. To do that the MSA would certainly require the Club to have the written agreement of every registered Championship co...

Re: Trailer Question

The recommended approach (judging by common practice) is to drag the whole thing relentlessly along the drive, causing a horrendous screeching noise and leaving grooves in the drive that eventually become so deep that the problem goes away (or the back of the tailor becomes sufficiently distorted to...
