Cadwell Entry Fee
Is anyone else surprised at the £85 increase in the cost for Cadwell this year over last year. I for one was looking forward to going to Cadwell as I hadn't been for a few years but find it difficult to justify £435 for Cadwell when Brands Hatch and Silverstone GP circuits are £450 and £445. I know ...

Re: Pirelli v Avons
Andy the Pirellis I have are:
250 x 575 x 13 Rears
200 x 540 x 13 Fronts
When enquiring with Pirelli they said it was one compound for the F3/F4 tyres they make.
I hope that helps.

Re: Brands GP
As someone who suffered a fire extinguisher going off in the assembly paddock just before my first race at Brands yesterday thereby ending my days racing, so I thought, can I just endorse the words on this thread regarding Steve Connor. Steve very kindly sent one of his helpers with one of my party ...

Re: Engine Regulations
Peter, I was referring to us mere 'mortals' that turn up race meeting after race meeting, not you extremely experienced 'superstars'. :D It has been noticeable and from a personal point of view a much more pleasurable experience to be racing in the Classic class with like spec cars and we have all e...

Re: Entry fee inflation
Inflation and entry fee creep is a fact of life. Nothing ever seems to get cheaper these days. I do agree however that we should look at the one qualifying session followed by three races. We come to race not to qualify. I did suggest this some time back and was told it was not possible, no real rea...

Re: Engine Regulations
I don't understand the reason for the FR ban as like most people I tend to agree that was what Mono club was all about. As for the FF 2000 in Classic, that was tried and is the reason there are so few classics now. There is no competition for classics with FF2000 as the last three championships (?) ...

Bag Tank reservoir fabrication
Had an issue draining the fuel from my Reynard so I decided to investigate. To cut a long story short pulled the whole system out and discovered that the alloy collector was badly broken and in need of welding. I am having it patched up for this season but will need a new one going forward. Does any...

Difficult as the new format was arranged the day after the entry fee was taken from the bank account

Re: Silverstone format change
This isn't the format we signed up for neither is it totally advisable to merge the grids together on a small circuit with as stated a less than 1 minute lap time. I do not see any advantage to us as competitors in increasing the the track time when that increased time will be more congested with th...

Pirelli v Avons
Looking to get new tyres for this season and noticed many people switching to Pirellis last year. Has anyone got any feedback on the Pirellis and whether they would be better suited to my Reynard. My understanding is that they were cheaper then the Avons. Is that still true? Any feedback welcome. Th...
