Re: Trailer box conversion
I have Jim Blockley's old red trailer - it was professionaly coachbuilt and is often admired. Builder's name and phone are on it, pm me if you want the details. Gloucester area if I remember correctly. Or come by at Donington.

Re: Mono Budgets - How much do you spend per season?
£3600 + fuel for the race car. Can't be bothered to try and separate out towing diesel from everyday running so I don't bother. That does about 8 rounds (mostly double headers) and a couple of tests. Not quite as simple as that since I started off with a bit of a reserve pot the sized of which ebbs ...

Re: "Pro" Teams in Mono
Also while I'm having a whinge, the increased "professionalism" of big rigs means paddocks are overcrowded with little parking for late comers which is one of the reasons I couldn't face one race meeting last year and pulled out at the last minute from a meeting with one of the country's worst padd...

Discipline, Justice, Fairness, and Other Concepts
And exacerbated by flawed flag marshalling. My recollection of 2000 Qualifying is something like: Course car: Yellow at Surtees for KM's stranded car on the apex - and next lap or two round Red / Yellow / Red around Surtees with the safety/snatch (not sure which) car stationary in front of the KM Da...

Thruxton
Thruxton - loved it, fantastic circuit and the weather helped no end too. What a way to go racing. Tops everything so far other than Spa. AMOC were organised and friendly and slick too apart from the usual scrum around scrutineering. Or maybe the price to pay for getting it wrong discouraged stretch...

Re: Thruxton Final Regulations and Tickets
So will you be having a couple spare with a contact no. when I turn up Friday night? I baulk a bit at the thought of having to pay again to get into an event I have already entered.....RedRedWine wrote:Mark

Donington Editorial
"The move, from Saturday to Sunday generated no comment on the Forum, something that caused me considerable surprise," Although the late timing of the change was rather rude on this occaision the change suited my purposes as I was still prepering the car. I can however confirm that on seeing the tim...

Re: Formula Vee to run in Mono 1600
I think this diversity within the class would add an interesting element and I would support their entry. Although not a 1600 runner (nor anything else at the moment!) I concur. I have always felt Mono provided a club structure supporive of the 'run what you brung' approach and particularly in the ...

Re: Balance bar adjustment
[quote="samier"]As I understand there are 2 stages to the setup process. First is to get the initial setup regards to the MC rods and the adjuster bar central as well as making sure there is some slack so that the clevis does not bind against the cylinder.quote] Yes you do need to get the mechanical...

Re: Harness mounting points for 2009
But I don't think they'd know, because our seat covers up the mounts, and the seat can't be removed without taking out the gearlever - not a 2 minute job!!! If you can cover it up then maybe you'll be okay. Don't rely on the 'can't see it, won't get asked' approach. I have had to remove the seat co...

Re: Rain Lights
God I am starting to hate this subject. Anyone want to buy my cheapo ex-Ebay rainlight complete with lovingly crafted bracket? (Bit of bent 20swg stainless). Ralt rear wing post and Hewland MK9 to align lamp square(ish) to verticle and centre line not included. Angle of dangle adjustable through app...
