Re: Ear Plugs

I always wear them now and have for the past few seasons as I also have tinnitus. If I don't wear them my ears really hurt from the sound of the engine. For those without tinnitus I suggest you wear them to avoid getting it.

Re: Two drivers, possible?

Chris, All mono double headers are constructed so that you can enter one day or the other or both. Therefore there is a practice on each day for each race and therefore, unless something has changes since we arranged the meting with MSVR you should be fine to race one day and your dad the next. Re: Silverstone National or Extended National

Tristian, In our early discussions with MSVR we were going to use the extended National circuit. However, for some reason MSVR were not offered it so we are left with the 'good old' National circuit. With regard to the GP circuit, my understanding is that it is the current GP circuit but as it is a ...

Truck or not to Truck

I am thingking of moving to a 7.5t truck to transport my race car and Mazda RX8 track day car around and wondered if those people with these trucks or who have had them in the past could give me some feedback on whether they are a good idea or not. I have heard a lot of negatives but still think the...

Re: What do people think of this?

Andrew,

Look very good to me. Means we can see all club racing in one place and pick and choose what we read. Another medium to demonstrate the Mono brand for those who would not nornally come across it. Excellent initiative.

Thruxton - 2010 Race Schedule

It is encouraging to see some many good things being written about the recent event at Thruxton. I to would like to add to the goodness by saying I thought the organisation, paddock layout, assembly area and marshalling were all of the highest standard and something I could get used. A pity about th...

Donington Re-scheduled for Saturday 18th July 2009

Following some hard work by the BRSCC they have managed to secure a race for the Monoposto Racing Club on the Donington calendar of 18/19th July. - It is the intention to allow those who previously entered the abandoned Donington meeting to leave their entry fee with the BRSCC for this new meeting. ...

Re: Donington Experience and the BRSCC

The BRSCC are not ignoring us. They have been in constant contact with me since the abandonment and are trying to arrange another meeting for us at Donington. As yet that has not been achieved despite their best attempts. I would not expect them to contact every member personally to inform them of t...

Donington Abandonment

Following the abandonment of the race meeting at Donington last Sunday I was immediately contacted by Drew Furlong, Competitions Director for the BRSCC to explain the reasons behind the cancellation and to apologise to all our members for the inconvenience caused. The problem was not of the BRSCC’s ...

Re: FR2000 car, is this eligible?

Trev, The 'Regulations' section of the main Mono site will give you clear guidance and what you can run and what you cannot. Here is an extract: Mono Formula 2000 a) Chassis complying with 5.5.1 (a or b) b) Chassis complying with the 2008 (or earlier) Formula Renault BARC Technical Regulations inclu...
