Re: Lap records
No, not really necessary. Much easier to restrict them for next year. Another 20kg? Reduce choke to, ooh, say 36mm? Both? That should put them back nice and equal. And because bike carbs aren't really designed to run on cars, anybody with them should be given extra points. Or allowed to run lighter,...

Re: Silverstone GP/Britcar Races
Please don't tell me qualifying was stopped because somebody left a car on the edge of Hangar Straight as I know that bit. Sorry to everybody about that.

Re: Croft-apology
We were all sorry you weren't there on Sunday. I must admit I wondered if there was a conspiracy with Russ spinning in front of me, you losing a wheel in front of me and then on Sunday Graham spinning in front of me. Anyway, no counselling needed, but please can Mrs Griffin recommend a good biologic...

Re: The Stig
It needs to be somebody who we don't see directly but of whom we have evidence of existence. A former race winner would be good, somebody whose testing role keeps him up to date. And somebody whose dad's got the tee shirt. Lee Bennett. Also, unlike the recently retired Ben Collins, I don't believe L...

Re: Hans Device
With regard to pricing, both Schroth and Willans/Stand21 seem to do a "sport" model at a bargain [price of £400 rather than £800, but it's only a 20degree model in both cases (as discussed above).
If there's a demand for 30/40 degree at the higher price point why not at £400?

We use a weather system adapted from that recommended by the late Ken Tyrrell.
1 Step out of awning.
2 Look up.
3 If face gets wet, use grooved tyres.
4 If panicking, use whatever tyres are already on car.
Actually it was rubbish as a system at Oulton but it does make me sound like a smarta**e

All perfectly sensible - except Anglesey. Surely it has to be the Coastal Circuit as that's got the Corkscrew?Vincent Fox wrote:

Done some basic flapjacks too - full of butter and sugar but there's oats in them too so I suppose that makes up for it. Like running a V8 Chevy on bio fuel.

I'm having a go at meringues. There really ought to be strict classes. I wouldn't wish to share a class with a heavy fruit cake, for example, as if it hit a meringue there could be severe damage. Also, if you can buy a new car for 1000/1400 you ought to be able to have a class where you get a cake f...

I've got one, please email me via startline (email to editor) or pm me with your email and I'll send it.
I didn't use it on the gallery because I was too lazy to open them all up and mistook it for a French FF, Sorry.
