Well I can live with +/-5% accuracy of the VDO. No point spending another £100+ on getting +/- 1%.

Thanks Tristan! There is such a difference in price, stack sensors going for around 70 pounds, others cheaper at 20 odd.. does it make any difference in reading and accuracy? http://www.gprdirect.com/OnlineShop/Product.do?c=214&g=661 http://www.gprdirect.com/OnlineShop/Product.do?c=214&g=1539&p=4145...

Gear Sensor question

I have bought an AIM display/logger unit, I have a few things I am not clear on. It has a gear display function, I am not sure if the car has a gear sensor. Is this something that can be fitted? Reading the manual, I think it can also work out the gear based on rpm/ speed values...is this method acc...

If I was to buy a Formula Vauxhall Lotus or a pre 2000 Dallara F3, that would come with fuel injection setup from when they were racing in the national series. To remove that setup and fit carbs would cost extra no? I would imagine the engine would need a remap, as F3 uses higher octane fuel. Why ar...

ok point taken, I was told by a few people who were racing in Mono 2000 that injection is not allowed which is why they changed to carbs... Please define what you mean my original manufacturers injection system. As in what was designed for a type of engine ie a vauxhall xe, or what they used on form...

off topic, but why does mono 2000 rules not allow fuel injection setup? surely its more expensive to start buying carbs and ecus etc... an extra cost of 1200-1500 pounds.

I would like to make an important point here. Nothing to do with the website. It seems obvious some of the directors (not you Stephen) have taken my comments as a personal attack as a result I got a pm telling me that I have no right or position to comment and that my suggestion for an improved webs...

Setting up a content management system based website it quite straightforward. Joomla is quite a favourite with many people and its pretty straightward to manage. Choosing one which has seamless integration with the forum would be ideal - some CMS's don't like some forums, wheras others is easier t...

Good points Andy, 750mc and F4 really seem to be promoting their championship. I did notice a lot more features in Autosport of late.

Surely the profile of Mono can be raised too? with out increased costs of memberships?

A total redesign of the official website would be a start, would help make the series appear professional. The current website looks very out of date and visitors would be put off. Maybe use a CMS type package such as Mambo or Joomla could be used, which allows easy editing and content management. L...
