Re: Silverstone format change

Who thought this one up ? There is no comparison between a 1 min lap at silverstone national and 2.5 min laps at Spa and Silv GP. Quali is always worse than the race for speed differentials, in the race we start roughly in speed order, not so qualifying, this is a good recipe for an accident. I have...

Re: CARTEK Flashing Rain Lights

I have great sympathy for people who find themselves in the same position as Matt and his now defunct Rain light, i also find myself in the same position as many other members with a bright but cheap LED rainlight. "Where did this come from ?" , From the board?, from facebook?, certainly not from co...

Simons 16th?

According to French Formula Ford Historic it seems that our very own Simon Davey won the French Pre-82 Formula Ford Championship 2014 mainly due to his heroic efforts at Spa and Brands, I believe this to be his 16th championship in total, the guy is indeed a legend in formula ford and still exciting...

Re: HANS devices (aka FHRs) to become mandatory next year

I would quote Professor Sid Watkins "the Hans Device is the greatest increase to driver safety in the last 30 years" and another quote from our own Dr Steve Griffin "a Hans Device is cheaper than a wheel chair and if you buy the former you will not need the latter" that convinced me and served me we...

Re: Monoposto 2014

I do believe this new tyre rule,if implemented in this form, will not serve the majority of members well. This seems to be a" sledgehammer to crack a nut" It appears that there is maybe only one person actually abusing the "free tyre system" and by now he will have decided to toe the line, if not it...

Re: Mono 1800 weights for next season

I have to agree with Patrick re weights I really cant see why we should want to increase,(rather the opposite) unless we wish to be known as the Monoposto UK Heavy Weight Championship. We are supposed to be sports people, i.e, fit and healthy ,we should encourage our members along this path, not towa...

THIS IS THE WAY TO TREAT YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS

I think it is down to MSVR with excellent co-operation from the scrutineering team that we were afforded the luxury of scrutineering in our own awnings at Donnington, this, to my mind at least, is a big plus to the experience of a racing weekend and is certainly the way to treat customers who are pa...

Re: Silverstone Apology

Somebody should reply otherwise you will think we all have the hump, there is a reason for everything the shortened track time may have saved someone an accident, who knows? we are all ok so that is all that matters, and you got back out did you not? All,s well that ends well.

Re: Silverstone GP/Britcar Races

Hmmmmmmmmm......... No love lost there then. I would be interested to hear about Jeremys race, overtaking 40+ cars must be exciting, Arties must be quite boring(but we would all like to have been him this weekend), what about Simon Daveys weekend, often soaking wet and riding a funny bike how do you...
