If it's a class 7 MOT they don't check the limiter. Has it got a taco? If not, it will be limited in the ecu which will need re programming/re flashing..
Need to know the model..
You can do 70 on the motorway though..

Agree Jim.. Think we need to try and make it attractive to visit by keeping it cheaper.

Re: Engine Regulations
This banning of certain cars seems to be rather a drastic measure for the "friendly" Mono club. They've alway accomodated different types of formula. Ive never heard of the mono club ever banning anything.. Glad they didnt ban the Dallara busa because they went a bit fast!

Totally agree with Omsracer..
I think the racers should have been asked..
Totally pointless waste of time..

Re: PIEDRAFITA
A Piedrafita with a 25mm restrictor wont go! Will be way down on Mono spec engine power. Not sure what all the fuss is about. It would struggle for power against a Mono engine even with the bigger restrictor.

Re: How much for a set of Avons?
Depends on what tyres they are!
I have also tried to get Avons from a tyre wholesaler but in my experience they are cheaper from Avon or BMTR.
Call them both.

2012 Mono 2000 grids
How are we going to boost the Mono 2000 grid? I'm not going to say I told you so, but it looks like there may not be many on the grid next season! There was a lot of discussion on the subject of restrictors not too long ago but the subject seemed to come to a dead end. We all now know that a Mono 20...

Re: 2000 restricters ?
Just one last point and I hope it does not get too involved.
If TB's are not that much of an advantage, why not let the Mono 2000 Classics have them?
Would it be the same playing field for them too? I can't think of a reason why not.
Did I spell restrictors wrong?

Re: 2000 restricters ?
Personally I think he'd have won the championship last year if he'd been running carbs....so don't look to the throttle bodies as a reason he's quick I don't doubt you either. He is a quick driver, and young. The whole team does a great job and his success is down to his driving ability and team. T...

2000 restricters ?
Will the Mono Club be restricting the 2000 class who run on throttle bodies? Were we told that if the gap on power between the throttle bodies and carbs were too wide the throttle body would be restricted. Throttle bodies = 205bhp + Carbs = 175 - 178bhp. Is this power gap wide enough, I think so - t...

Re: Lap records
Most definately should be different lap records. Watch Tristans Croft video. See how he needed to back off on the last corner of the back straight to avoid shunting me, while I was flat. Trouble now carbs are not an option with a mono2000 car. Who's idea was it anyway? Injection.. 2k - 1-2 seconds f...

Re: Mallory Motors TV
Tony,
Motors TV said they were going to make available DVD's of
the race meeting to the competitors. Did they not speak to
you about it? Maybe we should ask?
Doesn't Chris Woodhouse ever make 1 mistake? He is a hard man
to chase down. It was great fun though.
