Re: Cadwell Entry Fee
Putting the price can often be a mistake and actually reduce revenue, if there are 12 potential entries at £400 that bring in £4800, if 2 drivers decide not to enter at because of the increased to £435 the take would only be £4350 a loss of £500, I used to work for company that kept putting there pr...

Re: Zandvoort
New Zealand is cheap entry fees range from 50 dollars to 300dollars, hahaha just a light hearted take on costs outside Europe, I have had a fantastic time racing my Formula Junior, 26 races in 5 weekends, I need a holiday.

Re: CARTEK Flashing Rain Lights
i don't think anyone is against have a very bright rainlight, and having raced at Spa in the wet many times it is vital, especally when there was an incident in the past with a torch was being strap to a car(in the collecting area) with non functionig rainlight, this was at Silverstone, it fell off o...

Re: CARTEK Flashing Rain Lights
I feel these flashing lights are very distracting at the start and potentially to cause an incident, i think some drivers will get mesmerized by them and mis the red light going out at the start. I agree with Dermott where did the flashing light rule appear from. perhaps we should have the option of...

Re: Rain Lights
total agree i realised years ago the bigger the better, but if they on not switched on its pointless, cars without a rain light switched on should be black flagged immediately

Re: HANS devices (aka FHRs) to become mandatory next year
Its all about choice, the pro's probably outweigh the con's for wearing an FHR , Some of you still smoke, that can kill you but its your choice. Yes Mark i have the same problem i don't see how i can wear one in my Ralt.Looks like the days of the Ralt are finished I don't often agree with Kevan, but...

Re: gearbox
Here,s one for Kevan, no doubt will produce suitable rude response. I bought a box of mk9 series 5 gears from a f3 team in 1988, most are still going strong and not showing any signs of cracking at the base of the teeth, where they tend to go before breaking. In fact one of the few failures i have h...

Re: Monoposto 2014
nothing confusing Tony The way i read it. tyres are free for 2014 same as 2013 , the regulation will only implemented if it is felt a competitor is abusing the spirit of Mono by throwing muliple sets of new or newly scrubbed tyres at the car in one weekend. which apparently someone did this year. As...

Re: Monoposto 2014
sorry but do not understand the point the previous post is making. Even if the regulation is implemented anyone can still buy one set of new tyres for each meeting, 10 sets a year !!! £8k, like Geoff says all it would do is penalize the least well of competitor. More concerning is the wet weather ru...

Re: Monoposto 2014
One, is probably the answer Mark, its a perception that there is problem that isn't there.
I agree anything that makes the meeting harder for the one man band is wrong.
It would have been been more constructive to banned the number of personnel. lol

Re: Monoposto 2014
but surely the idea is to control cost. by not allowing used tyres to be free, cost go up. after all you have the used tyres already. If you don,t have a good set of used tyres you would have to go and buy a new set. When my tyres are near the end i buy 2 tyres for the left side and maybe use 4 used ...

Re: Monoposto 2014
what happens when you start the weekend on a set of used tyres that will barely do one day, and want to use another set of worn out tyres for the next day.
I thought this was to stop more than one new set of tyres being used in a weekend,

Re: Reynard 883 F3 body panels
I think you will find Kevan is right, when i ran Reynard 903 & 923 i bought panels from John Duff who was on the Southampton area. They were panels he had left over from when he did them for reynard, but he told me the moulds were long gone. They were to bulky to keep. It might be worth contact Nick ...
