Andrew has my support for;

Ballast the driver. Mono drivers + cake = problem solved.

I know they can be brittle, but if you drill the stud first, then soak with WD40 and allow to soak, provided the stud is not tight up against the bottom of the hole, with a little patience she will come out. If thread lock was used, may need something to soften it.

Have you tried the internal stud removers?

Still looking, does anyone have one? LD200 5 speed, 14:36 1st gear

I am wondering if anyone has an LD200 5 speed first gear (14:36) with fine splines down the centre as opposed to the standard splines in the 4 speed.
