Re: Lap Timers
It just works off the GPS so no sensors needed.

Re: Lap Timers
I once used the Harry's lap timer app on my iPhone and found it to be amazing and also quite accurate. Only problem was having my iPhone in my pocket I did strap it to the steering wheel which I then found distracting so pro's and con's with this one really.

Re: Cadwell Entry Fee
Jolyon Palmer had better start delivering some good results seeing as we are all helping fund his F1 career  While I'm also unhappy that the costs of race entries have gone up year-on-year, it is by far one of the best run championships run for our kinds of cars. MSVR no doubt have a strangleho...

Re: 2 Day Meetings
Did I read that right, the 28th March for rounds 1 & 2 at Oulton? This is a Monday if I'm not mistaken? Also, it seems that May will be a busy month for us both in terms of preparation and financially for those of us who pay for races on a race by race basis so this effectively makes it a very expen...

Re: Mounting for a GoPro Camera
I can't really recommend a suitable one for your car as I just used the ones supplied with the camera, but whatever you do get a tether for it too. The GoPro cases can break at the mounts. I was lucky a Marshall saw mine fly off and returned it to me.

Re: CARTEK Flashing Rain Lights
Sharing is caring.... I've stumbled upon a neat little relay circuit (size of a matchbox) that can create a static rain light to flash, it also has a variable resistor to allow the timing of the flash and the duration of the illumination to be altered. It's worked so far in testing with an array of ...

It appears so Steven. I fear we're not the only ones to be caught out by this.

Re: CARTEK Flashing Rain Lights
I have no problem at all with What Dermot has supplied, and I do not feel I have been mis-sold, it complied with the regulations at the time, however I am failing to see where the flashing element of the regulations were introduced or changed, I cant seem to find any mention of it!

Re: CARTEK Flashing Rain Lights
Hmmm,
I need to check the numbers on my rain light again, as mine looks nothing like that one!

Re: CARTEK Flashing Rain Lights
I must've missed something... I knew the rain light spec had been changed (for good reason), but I wasn't aware it had to be a flashing type? I've bought a light last year on the specs that were posted, but this isn't a flashing one! Has this been a waste of money for me now??? Is there a relay or s...

Re: Go Pro Cameras
Yes... Having had the more expensive ones I find the entry level Hero to be just the same quality, and also find that you dont really need all the fancy WIFI or screens etc. I just use mine, and watch later on my laptop. £100 from most places or slightly cheaper online I think? Dont forget to get a ...

Thank you
Just to say a huge thank you to the Mono paddock and organisers for rallying around and helping me in my hour of need. The avoidable incident left me feeling rather upset to say the least, (judging from how blue the air was I think most of you around my awning could gather - my sincere apologies)! A...

Re: Rain Lights
My mistake, I was referring to the little round ones in your image thinking they were the m-electronics type! Those m-electronics ones do look quite effective on your last image, are they a similar price to the cartek ones?
